We’re back. New album entitled “Thank You” is out May 22. In the meantime, take a look at the video for our first single.
This past Spring, Martine Groulx of Camaromance and I played a cover of Stars’ “Your Ex-Lover is Dead” at 4am in the morning. Performed at the cité des havres parc in Montreal, you’re privy to a stunning view of the city skyline, all ripe with morning dew. Luckily, online magazine The Rake was there to capture it, birds and all.

Our good friend Bruno Florin was kind enough to film and edit together some footage from our last show at Casa Del Popolo in Montreal.

Everything You Have (Unreleased)

Proud Montrealers though we are, we are unabashed fans of Toronto, so when Porter Airlines asked us to put together a list of our favorite places there, we couldn’t refuse. Not to mention how awesome of an airline Porter is, and Mr.Porter the raccoon is just about the cutest mascot around.
Take a look at the guide here.
The kind folks over at Boutique Tone guitar store invited us to the store to try some of their beautiful boutique guitars and basses. After much deliberation, we made our selections and settled down to perform a stripped down version of “H-H-Highschool”.
Our tune “H-H-Highschool” is featured on a new online spot for Malibu Magazine. Thank you to photographer extraordinaire Mackenzie Duncan for including us.

We’re officially back from our hiatus, we’re refreshed, new and improved. We’ve recently enlisted the help of two of our buddies to beef up our live show, with Tim on drums and Greg on bass/guitar/synths. With Westfest and NXNE already under our belt, we’ve shaken off the rust and will be hitting Le Divan Orange in Montreal on July 2nd with Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees. It’s been sounding amazing, check out these recent photos and articles.

We filmed ourselves on our rooftop playing an acoustic version of “H-H-Highschool” two weekends ago for mtl4japan, a friend’s benefit for Japan tsunami relief (A speedy recovery to you Japan). We had to do a bunch of takes cause the camera kept running out of space. If you are attentive, at the end of the performance you’ll me say “Please be on… Yessss!”

It’s official! We’ve signed with Montreal label Saboteur Records, joining the ranks of Champion, Numéro#, Omnikrom and Kisses. They are a great little label with an impressive track record and a group of lovely people, to boot. Look for upcoming album details as we reveal them. Check them out here: saboteurrecords.com
“I’ve Liked You For 1000 Years” – A Tribute to Plumtree
Published August 12th, 2010 in News. 2 Comments
We’ve been big Plumtree fans for a long time now, seems like a thousand years, from our teenage band “Jolly Bean” opening for them and Thrush Hermit in 1996 to our recent show with Carla and Lynette’s new band “Sister” last April. I fondly remember that 1996 show, they were such lovely people and really made an impression on our young minds. Coinciding with the highly anticipated “Scott Pilgrim vs the World”, the movie based on the graphic novel series who’s lead character is named after the Plumtree song, comes I‘ve Liked You For A Thousand Years – A Tribute to Plumtree courtesy of Gooseberry Records. Look for our cover of “Racing Gloves” (stream below) in the coming weeks when it comes out on Zunior.com (incidentally founded by ex-Inbreds drummer Dave Ullrich).
Check out our cover of Plumtree’s “Racing Gloves” here.

Our smiley faces are in a new Vitamin Water campaign alongside some other notable Montreal creative people. Apparently, they will appear in metro lightboxes and on top of taxi cabs all over Montreal. For those of you who don’t read french, the headline roughly translates to “Proud endorsement of ‘Bedroom Madness’ “. Paired with that particular Vitamin Water flavor “XXX”, you get what the implication is. Yup, people all over the city will imagine us getting hot and heavy induced by the refreshing drink.
