Happy new year! Our first post of 2009. I think my resolution is to be more expressive on this blog/site. Cause I mean who really wants to read a list of facts, right?

Seems like we’ve been in transition forever, the year end “Best of” lists started springing up as far back as November. It seems that people liked our album enough to have included them in theirs. Some highlights include iTunes’ best Canadian Electronic Album, Patrick Pentland of Sloan’s top 10 in Filter Magazine, nominations by Chart Attack including Best Canadian Album, and other honors on a fair number of blogs. So thank you! We never figured our brand of Pop would garner any critical attention, but there you go.

In other news, we just completed a cover of “Head Over Heels” by Tears for Fears, one of our favorite pop songs of all time. It’s part of a free download compilation for Buffetlibredjs.net. The comp also includes exclusive covers by Au Revoir Simone, Bonde Do Role, Starfucker, Little Boots, CFCF and more! You can check out our track here.

For those of you in the Toronto area, we’ll be playing the Tranzac on Saturday January 10th as part of the singinglamb.com release party, also performing are the Winter Gloves, Green Go, Sports: the band and Maylee Todd.
